RESEARCH AND
DEVELOPMENT STRENGTH
Government-Industry-University Collaboration
The University team from The Hong Kong University of Science & Technology (HKUST) has announced the efficacy of SGC on regeneration, scar healing, anti-inflammatory, skin lightening, moisturisation, skin elasticity and anti-aging at the International Conference on Skin Aging in 2018 & 2019. Studies shown the speed of regeneration is far exceeds the world gold standard, supported by our medical literatures.

Government Subsidized Program
In 2013 and 2014, our technologies have been subsidized by the HKSAR in terms of Patent Applications Grant in which China Hong Kong, China Taiwan, Swiss, Australia, Canada, United States patents have been successfully obtained. In 2018, the safety and quality standard of SGC in biomarker-driven approach was established under the support of the HKUST and ITC (Innovation & Technology Commission(Ref No: UIM/340); In 2021, research on proteins extracted from non-human species was funded by the ITC, therein scope of SGC on R & D in terms of the raw materials, product types, target customers, dermatological-grade skin care products etc., has been expanding from customized high-end products to mass market. It shows a good model of Government-Industry-University Collaboration and the great concern of the HKSAR on innovative biotechnology. It helps to path SGC the way to success on innovation and advanced technology, in the coming 10 years.
First Mover To QUANTIFY skin product’s efficacy:
Our SGC Skin Diagnostic Center, equipped with medical imagery and 3D modelling, vitro and vivo skincare parameters, located at the HKUST, exclusively serves our SGC patrons to QUANTIFY the efficacy of SGC from epidermis to dermis. Our GMP accredited Laboratory in China is equipped with high-level facilities to ensure research quality, safety and stability during continuous optimized procedures, located at the HKUST Shenzhen Research Institute, Nanshan, Shenzhen. Both in 2018 and 2022, our Skincare R&D Department and our Medical R&D Department has alternatively been the Member of Entrepreneurship Program of HKUST. Clinical trial is carrying out in China.

Our Core Technology
SGC (Self Growth Colony) is our core technology of a cell regeneration biologics. Due to the increasing aging population and autoimmune chronic diseases, we are developing topical drugs for protein-related diseases (e.g. diabetic foot ulcers and surgery scar) and internal medicine (e.g. spinal nerve damage and arthritis).
5 Breakthroughs in Cell Tech
- COMPLETE extraction brings Synergistic effect: brings long and sustainable result.
- Patented Technology on OPTIMIZATION of AUTOLOGOUS proteins: NATURAL & EFFECTIVE
- 100% ORGANIC: No chemicals, No preservatives, No additives.
- Patented PRESERVATION Technology
- Pioneer application of Cell therapy as a topical medication to skin, comfortable and non-invasive.
SGC meets ALL the criteria for cell regeneration
- Cell Proliferation
- Cell Migration (keratinocyte migration)
- Synergistic effect of Growth Factors
- Ultimately, Re-epithelialization and Regeneration of Collagen.
SGC studies shown: SGC inhibits melanogenesis by down-regulating microphthalmia-associated transcription factor in skin melanocyte. The phenomena were attributed to a reduction of MITF expression, which subsequently down-regulated the melanogenic enzymes, that is, TYR, TRP1 and DCT. Moreover, EK signaling was activated in the SGC-inhibited melanogenesis. It helps on skin whitening on scar healing, burnt scar, skin regeneration. Studies shown: SGC technology is one of the most efficacy-proven and controllable biotechnologies in today's biotechnology (see "SGC Safety").

Power of Innovation
Our researchers have succeeded in identifying active molecules from our cells for nourishing our stem cells which boost up the effectiveness on the regenerative power. We developed SGC — select active ingredients from our own cells capable of providing protein content signature of healthy skin. No any additives or chemicals is needed. This introduced a true medical revolution and a new category of a personalized biologics in the world of wound healing and aging. The biological process that SGC trigger is similar to that of a booster or an activator.
Diversity in R&D
1. Research on the indications of various protein-related diseases including scar hyperplasia, diabetic foot ulcers, wound repair, dermatitis, eczema, surgical scars, skin aging, spinal nerve injury, arthritis by performing proteomic analysis to find the corresponding genome from human proteins,
2.Clinical trials for various indications.
3.Various patent applications and scientific literature publications.
4.Continuously optimize procedures and establish high-level facilities and technologies to ensure quality, safety and consistency.
The mechanism
Through Embryology, scientists are endeavoured to explore the regeneration and aging phenomena, process and rhythms in the current scientific speculation and research. Human develops from a zygote----the functional basic unit of life---continuously differentiated into a baby and then a mature body by continuous mitosis. We might face enormous injury and recovery during our lives. There is an extraordinary self-healing ability of the body. Infection, amputation or even life-threatening will be occurred if wounds leave without control. The mechanism activated by the body on wound healing is called "Repairing", however , hypertrophic scar tissue will be produced by seriousness and long recovery period of the wounds. More and more problems related to the aging of the population, like lower limb ulcers, diabetic foot, varicose veins, trauma wound infection, autoimmune disease, and chronic ulcer wounds caused by radiation therapy in the elderly need to be solved. It has always been a challenge.
There are 3 objectives of our R&D: 1. to accelerate wound healing, 2. Patient’s safety and comfort is our upmost concern, 3. scar-free after healing. We propose "Regeneration" rather than just "Repairing" in wound healing phenomenon
“ We create more possibilities for more people through the power of cell.”
